Dog Carcass Was Found Near SPCA Building

A dead dog was found with its head inside a plastic pipe, revealed a Facebook post on Tuesday (24 Oct). Animal activist Ananthi Naidu, who volunteers with canine welfare group Save Our Street Dogs, shared four pictures of the carcass via Facebook, along with a plea for witnesses of the crime.

According to STOMP, the pictures were taken by 68-year-old retiree Mr Han Hee Siew, who had been feeding the stray daily for the last four to five years. Mr Han also revealed the pictures were taken at Jalan Lam Sam near Choa Chu Kang, which ironically happens to be near SPCA’s building. The dog was apparently found at a canal on 19 Oct.

Netizens united in condemnation

They say that hell hath no fury like a woman’s scorn, but we think that angry animal lovers are a scarier prospect. These netizens condemned the act and questioned the kind of twisted mind that would do such a thing.

Some hoped that the animal abuser would suffer a similar fate.

While several of others even threatened to conduct all sorts of violent acts if they ever caught the dog the abuser.

It seems that if such a mob ever takes place, animal activist Ananthi Naidu would be at the forefront leading the attack.

Manhunt is on for dog abuser

The incident has been reported to the authorities, with the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore investigating this case of abuse.

If you have witnessed the abuse of the dog or have any information on who the abuser is, please contact Ananthi Naidu or the relevant authorities.
