Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark Is One Of The World’s Biggest And Has The Region’s Largest Wave Pool

Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark is opening on November 15 this year.

Eh just nice: that’s the school holiday season!

Cue children rejoicing and pestering their parents to bring them there.

We aren’t exaggerating about how amazing this waterpark is turning out to be.

You’ll definitely be convinced after seeing these pictures.

Sneak peak!

The park’s promotional video on Facebook features many exciting rides we can’t wait to experience for ourselves!

Although the park is still in progress, it already looks like so much fun.

With 17 slides to choose from, there’ll never be a dull moment under the sun.

Are you ready to float around in Southeast Asia’s largest tidal wave pool?

There’s also gigantic viking ship in the middle of a pool — the first of its kind.

Roller coaster fans, watch out for this flume ride that would make your insides scream in exhilaration.

The best part about the bowl ride is that you can ride with friends and see them scream their lungs off.

For those who prefer to nua (chillax), there is a 170m long stretch of artificial beach for you to soak up the sand and do absolutely nothing.

Whisk me away right now

Desaru is known for its pristine beaches and low prices — but you can’t enjoy it without first being there.

Here are the suggested ways to get there:

1. By car

Driving to Desaru takes around 2 hours. If you’re bringing your family along, this is probably the most convenient option.

Remember to prepare your Touch N Go card to pay toll when entering Malaysia.

Bigger groups of travelers may even consider hiring a driver — which isn’t very expensive after splitting the cost.

2. By ferry

A 30 minute ferry ride from Changi Ferry Terminal to Tanjung Belungkor Ferry Terminal in Kota Tinggi costs $26 and can be easily booked online.

Nnote that Desaru is still a 30-45 minute ride away from the ferry terminal, so do check with the resort you’re staying with if they can provide complimentary shuttle services.

If not you’ll have to fork out extra cash for the ride.

Pumped and can’t wait for November 15

Can this new attraction rival Adventure Cove or Wild Wild Wet?

We’ll have to wait and see.

Ticketing details and operating hours have not been released yet — but we’re keeping a lookout for it so that you don’t have to.

Follow their Facebook page if you don’t want to miss any ongoing promotions!

Swimsuit and sunscreen, check.
