Whisk me away right now

Desaru is known for its pristine beaches and low prices — but you can’t enjoy it without first being there.

Here are the suggested ways to get there:

1. By car

Driving to Desaru takes around 2 hours. If you’re bringing your family along, this is probably the most convenient option.

Remember to prepare your Touch N Go card to pay toll when entering Malaysia.

Bigger groups of travelers may even consider hiring a driver — which isn’t very expensive after splitting the cost.

2. By ferry

A 30 minute ferry ride from Changi Ferry Terminal to Tanjung Belungkor Ferry Terminal in Kota Tinggi costs $26 and can be easily booked online.

Nnote that Desaru is still a 30-45 minute ride away from the ferry terminal, so do check with the resort you’re staying with if they can provide complimentary shuttle services.

If not you’ll have to fork out extra cash for the ride.

Pumped and can’t wait for June
