Cinematic Video Of Singapore Shows Gardens By The Bay’s Flower Dome In A New Light
Most locals don’t frequent our star tourist attraction, Gardens by the Bay, or its Flower Dome for that matter.
Well, now you don’t have to.
A sleek new video going viral on YouTube showcases just what’s inside the famous dome.
And by sleek we mean next level otherwordly video-editing — with scene-stealing moments straight out of Jurassic Park or a Hayao Miyazaki movie.
Popcorn at the ready? Now, watch Benn TK’s entire 6-minute ode to Singapore’s silver screen-worthiness here.
Jurassic Park in our Flower Dome
Benn, in his trademark cinematic style, takes viewers on a tour of Gardens By The Bay’s Flower Dome.
We half-expected a T-rex to pop out at this point.
Say, those supertrees look familiar! Or are they Avatar’s latest backdrop?
Here’s his re-imagining of Marina Bay Sands and our ArtScience Museum — reminiscent of Transformers if you ask us. If only it had been that easy to build them.
Somehow the towering waterfall within the Flower Dome also kinda looks like it came straight out of a post-apocalyptic movie.
He also transports us into a Japanese sakura blossom-laden garden.
Complete with quirky lego versions of Pitcher flowers, Venus Flytraps and Rafflesia.
Impressed? We think you may have to see it for yourself to believe that it could look this beautiful.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Singaporeans are a busy bunch and it’s easy to get caught up in the humdrum of everyday life.
This guy’s work is a timely reminder that perhaps we could try to appreciate the beauty of our more touristy locales too.
Perhaps it’s time to make that trip to Gardens by the Bay you’ve been putting off for 3 years.
After all, if we could see MRT rides just like this guy does, even morning work commutes will never be the same.
