SAF personnel to assist LTA during large-scale disruptions

Ah Boys to SMRT slaves.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has reached out to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) to provide manpower for crowd control during large-scale disruptions.

Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) has acknowledged that the SAF will assist LTA in major interruptions in the future, “while maintaining [the] primary responsibility to safeguard our security environment”.

Looking back at these comments, Singaporeans obviously have a great sense of humour.
