Jay Park joins “Asia’s Got Talent” As Newest Judge

JWalkerz rejoice, Korean-American hip-hop artist Jay Park has been revealed to be one of the judges for season 2 of Asia’s Got Talent.

The news was announced at a press conference at the ArtScience Museum in the Marina Bay Sands on Thursday (July 27).

Clad in a floral grey suit, the multi-platinum artist was greeted with roaring applause as he took to the stage.

Jay-Z’s Latest Signee

The AOMG (Above Ordinary Music Group) founder, who is the first Asian-American to sign on to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation roster, joins music icon David Foster and Indonesian pop star Anggun as they reprise their roles as judges on the show.

When asked about the type of judge he will be for the show, he calmly remarked that he plans to be honest to contestants, but respectful at the same time.

“It depends on how authentic they are,” Park added, stating that his style would be dependent on the talent presented to him.

Dynamic Duo

Meanwhile, actors Alan Wong and Justin Bratton will be succeeding Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez as hosts of the talent competition.

The duo, who are best friends hopes the contestants will showcase their talents to the world and get people to appreciate what they do.

Asia’s Got Talent

The winner(s) will receive $140,000 (USD$100,000) and the opportunity to perform at the Marina Bay Sands.

Filming of the second season of “Asia’s Got Talent” begins on Friday (July 28).
