Last Night Of 24 Hours Transportation

Last all-night transportation

Those who wish to pay respects to the late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew may do so overnight (27 March) – train services, both MRT and LRT will be running at frequencies of up to 20 minutes, in addition to the 41 feeder bus services operating through the night.

The usual 13 night bus services by SBS Transit and SMRT will be running as usual from midnight to 2am, stopping at Jurong, Bukit Batok, Yishun, Ang Mo Kio, Sengkang and Tampines.

However, there will be no overnight train services tomorrow, given that maintenance work has to be carried out, after the train continuously runs from Friday to Saturday night. There probably won’t be a point in extending train services tomorrow anyway, since the Lying in State visiting hours end at 8pm.

LTA also mentioned the importance of carrying out intensified maintenance works on Saturday night and early Sunday morning so as to transport Singaporeans who wish to pay their last respects during the State Funeral Procession.

In the meantime, those worried about potential train breakdowns may watch the live streaming of the Lying in State in Parliament House here:
