A-Level Results – the start of something new

Today is the day. The fateful day when all Junior College students and private candidates receive their results after two years of hard work. At 2pm later in the day, students will be anticipating their results with bated breath. We all know how it feels like – the hall would be filled with palpable silence with students wondering if they have lived up to their parents’, their teachers’, and their own expectations.

Just ask Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong; he knows better.

Odd that he mentions a gap year, given that the practice isn’t widely observed in Singaporean students.

Here’s at MSN, we wish all A-level students the best of luck! We leave you with a quote from Mortimer Adler:

The purpose of learning is growth, and our minds, unlike our bodies, can continue growing as long as we live.
