Won’t cost you a bomb
Muji is known for having high-end goods alongside affordable wares.
Its hotel falls somewhere in the middle: a basic room starts at 950RMB(S$188.78) a night, inclusive of tax and service charges.
This is slightly higher than the average price of a decent Shenzhen hotel (S$70), but hey, you’re paying for a unique experience.
All rooms come with free wifi, breakfast and essential toiletries.
This is currently the only Muji hotel branch in the world.
The second will open in Beijing this summer.
Pack your bags
We wished they opened a Muji Hotel in Singapore too. But till they do, you’ll see us strolling around the Muji stores and wishing we actually lived there.
Die-hard Muji enthusiasts with leave and dimes to spare will be interested to know that a return trip to Shenzhen goes from S$226.
Sounds like a plan for a coming weekend?
Then pack us in your suitcase, won’t you?
