Naruto Run 2018 Is A Chance For Fans To Run With Their Hands Behind Their Backs
Over the years, we’ve played host to numerous weird and wacky events.
From a screaming event at Hong Lim Park to ‘insert verb like anime character at location‘-type events that seemingly serve no purpose other than to exist for their own sake.
And memes. Probably memes.
Unlike the previous events, this one is actually not for irony.
Organised by local anime distributor ODEX, the Naruto Run will take place at City Square Mall on 26 May.
Don’t expect the run to challenge you physically though; the distance for the run clocks in at a measly 1.5km.
$50 to run like Naruto
The packages for the race will set you back $50 each, with three to choose from.
All packages include the following items:
- 2 x Acrylic Key-chain
- 1 x Rubber Strap
- 3 x Wristband
- 1 x A4 Folder
- 1 x T-shirt
- 1 x Backpack
- 1 x Run Towel
- 1 x Number Tag
Combined usual retail price of all above items: $100
The sole differences between the three packages on offer are the designs on the key-chains, rudder straps, wristbands and T-shirts.
A shiny participation medal
Complete the run to receive a Naruto-themed participation medal.
40 lucky participants will also receive a signature card that will be given at random.
The main series might have ended, but anime fans’ endearing love for the teenage ninja anime continues.
And what better way to demonstrate your fandom than by participating in the upcoming Naruto Run?
Of course, it looks like this event will be hard to miss for Naruto fans.
The story might be focused on his son Boruto for now, but Naruto will always live on in our hearts.
Just remember to register before the deadline of 23 May.
