HDB Announces New Flats Available At Tampines, Geylang, Punggol, And Sengkang

A whopping 8,230 flats were announced for sale on Tuesday (14 Nov), so those looking for cozy new homes are definitely spoilt for choice.

The units are both new Build-To-Order units, along with Sale of Balance apartments. Located in both mature estates, such as Geylang and Tampines, and also newer estates in Punggol and Sengkang, these flats are already open for bidding, and are expected to be ready by 2023.

This is the largest release this year, surpassing the number of flats previously announced in August and May.

But before you frenzy to applications, you might want to take a look the unique design features these new flats have to offer and their locations.

Equipped with a roof garden that connects seamlessly to the lush greenery of Punggol Northshore Drive, the new BTO development, Northshore Edge showcases modern contemporary living with the ease of connectivity to nearby schools and recreational facilities.

As such, this four to five-room estate is especially ideal for young energetic Singaporean families.

It is also conveniently in close proximity to not one, but two LRT stations, providing an all-access pass to the rest of Punggol and all the goodies it has.

Punggol is a youthful town known for some of Singapore’s most scenic urban developments – basically an Instagrammer’s haven. It boasts a wide array of recreational outlets; the new Punggol SAFRA, the famous Punggol Waterway, and even a yacht club for you to pretend to be atas.

Isn’t it nice that Punggol has everything?

If you’re looking for more than one choice of residence at one location, you’re in luck!

Just across from Punggol, you’d find this equally bustling town featuring another 1,507 new units from two BTO developments.

The first is Anchorvale Village where residential flats are integrated with commercial shops for a living lifestyle few other HDB estates can offer.

Like a major upgrade from the “mama shop”, here, the shopping mall is quite literally under the block. The facilities don’t end there either, as this estate also houses a roof garden and a sheltered community plaza – probably a venue for morning Tai Chi sessions to be held.

However, Anchorvale Village only has 207 units available, and judging by how unique this development is, it’s likely to sell out fast.

Your chances with next development, Fernvale Glades, are much higher, as buyers are able to select from over 1,300 units at this 10-residential block project.

Instead of a commercial area, this development prides vast and open green spaces that provide a cool respite for busy city folk.

These flats also come in 3-Gen configuration, giving better facilities for families to care for their elders.

While most of the developments were planned at younger towns, our much loved heartlands weren’t neglected either.

With 742 units of 2-room Flexi, 3 and 4-room flats, Eunos Court is located at the heart of colourful Geylang and just meters away from Eunos MRT Station and Bus Interchange.

Similar to an earlier BTO released at Geylang, this estate also catered for food lovers, as it is just a short walk away from treasure of flavours around the Geylang Serai District.

Despite being position in one of the most dynamic locations in Singapore, Eunos Court features open air courtyard squares for activities and recreation.

Besides the numerous residential estates, Tampines is also home to a business centre, manufacturing factories, three major shopping centres, and three MRT stations, making it one of the most established towns in the east.

An established town is not complete without a mega-residential project.

Thus, the final HDB project on this list is the vast Tampines Green Court.

Comparatively, this BTO estate dwarfs the other projects mentioned before. Buyers can decide from the 2,192 units of 2-room Flexi, 3-, 4- and 5-room flats among 19 residential blocks.

Positioned at a newly dedicated space at Tampines North, Tampines Green Court will be home to multiple playgrounds, plazas, exercise and green spaces.

Anything more and it could probably be whole self-sustaining society on its own.

When built, this pocket of green will be home to a whopping 19 residential blocks.

More Elaborate Estates

HDB flats are no longer like those of our parents generation, with newfangled features like roof gardens, commercial shops, and plazas.

It is safe to say that people’s condition on choosing a flat has also been changing. They are looking beyond the space and location for other things such as amenities and convenience.

So with much more flats up for sale, go out there and grab your dream home. Of the flats, 4,829 are BTO, and 3,401 are launched under the SBF exercise.

It might not be waiting for you for long as applications for these flats close on 20 Nov.
