Why doesn’t this guy ever learn his lesson?
Today (27 Apr), it is confirmed that Singapore Democratic Party’s (SDP) Dr Chee Soon Juan will be heading in a straight contest against People’s Action Party’s Murali Pillai, also affectionately known as “Ah Mu” in the coming Bukit Batok by-election.
Meanwhile, lesser-known Shirwin Eu failed his second bid to be a Member of Parliament when he turned up at the Nomination Centre this morning without a single signature to his application. As such, he was unable to contest in the Bukit Batok by-election.
The 32 year-old is no stranger to the election process in Singapore. Last year, the hopeful candidate had attempted to contest in Bukit Panjang SMC, only to be short of 6 signatures from residents in his application on the day of nomination itself.
What does he really want?
Residents of Bukit Batok can rest well, for you have not missed a potential star candidate to represent your constituency.
According to Shirwin himself, he is contesting for the pursuit of fame and wealth, and he doesn’t really know what he can offer to Bukit Batok…
