Singapore-Inspired Potato Chips By F.EAST
Anybody who asks any Singaporean for their national dish will inevitably be greeted with a barrage of suggestions. But wade through the suggestions a little, and you’ll likely see repeated entries of two specific dishes: chicken rice and laksa.
And new local brand F.EAST (short for Flavours of the East) has somehow turned these two iconic dishes into potato chips.
The unique flavours will be launched next Monday (27 Nov) at their booth inside Raffles Xchange, located at Raffles Place MRT Station. If buying from an actual shop isn’t really your kinda thing, the chips will also be available on online supermarket Redmart.
They even come with cutesy illustrations of potatoes hanging out with the dish.
Usually priced at $3 per pack, you can also get them at $10 for 4 packs until 1 Dec.
Honestly, we’ve never thought of chicken rice or laksa as anything other than their original forms. Will this work out though? We’ll just have to wait to find out.
F.EAST also promises more localised chip flavours, so keep a look out if these flavours aren’t your fancy. Maybe chili crab chips next?
