‘0000’ combination gets 2nd prize in 20 Nov 4D draw

The number combination ‘0000’ emerged as the second prize winner in the recent 4D draw on Wednesday (20 Nov).

The previous time such a feat had happened was over a decade ago when the number combination clinched first and second prizes in two consecutive months in 2014.

‘How to strike?’: Netizens lament number combination

Numerous netizens appeared disheartened by the results of the draw with some claiming that “nobody [will] buy” such a combination.

One netizen even took to the Facebook group ‘Complaint Singapore’ to express his frustration. He posted the 4D results with the caption: “This type of number how to strike??”

However, his post was met with disagreement as other netizens highlighted that all number combinations have technically the same probability of winning.

As there are 10,000 4-digit combination possibilities from 0000 to 9999, any combination one picks will have a 1 in 10,000 chance of a strike.

“Using your logic, how to strike using any number?” One netizen quipped in the comment section.

Another user even called the OP out, suggesting that they are only complaining for the sake of it.

Some lucky netizens also proved the OP wrong — boasting their 4D ticket with the ‘0000’ combination.

Another user also shared that one person he knows has been buying the quadruple zero combination regularly, finally hitting the jackpot that day.
