No More Covid-19 Patients In ICU, After S’porean Man Becomes 27th Death From Disease

62-Year-Old Singaporean Man Dies From Covid-19 Infection

Singapore’s official death toll from Covid-19 has increased to 27, after a 62-year-old Singaporean man died on Tuesday (14 Jul).

He was the last patient who was in critical condition in the Intensive Case Unit (ICU).

Separately, 2 more places have been listed as being visited by Covid-19 cases when they were infectious.

These places are:

Case 17168 passed away in Sengkang General Hospital

An update by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Tuesday (14 Jul) said that the latest death tested positive for Covid-19 on 30 Apr

He was designated as Case 17168, and warded in Sengkang General Hospital (SKGH).

The patient had an underlying history of diabetes mellitus, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia, and till his death, was the only Covid-19 patient in critical condition in the ICU.

He succumbed to complications due to Covid-19 infection on Tuesday (14 Jul).

With his death, there are now no more Covid-19 patients in intensive care.

 

SKGH has contacted his family to render assistance to them.

JEM mall visited again

The MOH update also provided a fresh list of places that have been visited by Covid-19 cases while infectious.

JEM mall in Jurong East was visited by a Covid-19 case from 11.55am-12.40pm on 30 Jun, said MOH.

Within the mall, the patient visited Dian Xiao Er, a restaurant.

JEM was previously visited by a Covid-19 case on 3 Jul and 5 Jul. That means JEM was visited by a Covid-19 case 3 times in the last 15 days.

Food Xchange @ Admiralty, a food facilty at 8A Admiralty Street, was visited by a Covid-19 case from 9.55am-12.55pm on 7 Jul.

Visitors advised to monitor health

MOH has advised those who visited these locations at the specific timings that the patient was there to monitor their health for 14 days.

However, there is no need to avoid these locations.
