The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced Wed (12 Feb) that 3 more coronavirus cases – now defined as Covid-19 – have been found.
According to Channel NewsAsia (CNA), 2 of the latest Covid-19 cases belong to the same church, while 1 is a DBS employee.
This takes the total number to 50.
None of them have recently travelled to China, indicating local community spread.
However, in some good news, 15 of these cases have been discharged.
Cases 48 and 49 are from the Grace Assembly of God church in Singapore.
Both of them have visited the 2 churches located in Tanglin and Bukit Batok.
Meanwhile, Case 50 is a DBS employee, working at Marina Bay Financial Centre.
On Wed (12 Feb), DBS evacuated the offices where the employee had worked, and they are now working from home.
6 more cases were discharged from hospital, MOH announced.
This takes the total number of discharged cases to 15, with 35 still in hospital.
Of these 35, 8 are in critical condition.
Singapore has a high number of cases, but this also means that we’re good at finding them.
So far, there are no deaths yet and we hope it stays that way.
