1-year-old returned from Wuhan 9 Feb

The 1-year-old Singaporean who returned from Wuhan displayed no symptoms of the virus on board the flight home, states MOH.

He underwent quarantine immediately after landing on 9 Feb and tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday (16 Feb).

He is currently in an isolation ward at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Meanwhile, Case 77 had contact with the DBS employee, whose confirmation led to the evacuation at Marina Bay Financial Centre (MBFC).

The 35-year-old male Singaporean tested positive this morning (17 Feb) and is now in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

5 more cases discharged, total now at 24

On a lighter note, MOH also confirmed 5 more discharge cases.

This means 24 of the 77 have left the hospital and that there are still no fatalities.

4 others are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) down from 5 just yesterday (16 Feb).

This is testament to our frontline staff’s capabilities and we salute them for doing a tremendous job thus far.
