A-Level Results Set To Release On 21 Feb, Special Arrangements Made In Light Of Covid-19

Students that sat for their A-level papers in 2019 will receive their results on Friday (21 Feb) at 2.30 pm, according to the Ministry of Education (MOE).

The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level – in short, GCE A-levels – is taken by second-year junior college (JC) students yearly.

As schools are expecting a large gathering of alumni from across Singapore, MOE is taking extra precautions amid the outbreak of Covid-19.

This includes introducing an online collection option for results, which wasn’t available for previous batches.

Students will report to classrooms instead of assembly areas

Typically, students will report to the school hall for an assembly of sorts before collecting their results.

Due to DORSCON Orange, MOE has temporarily suspended mass gatherings.

To facilitate the huge crowd, results collection will now occur in classrooms.

Furthermore, only the students collecting their results can enter school compounds – that means family members can’t accompany them.

Online collection of A-level results

In light of Covid-19 concerns, MOE is also allowing students to view their results on the Student Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) website.

As long as they are a Singaporean or Permanent Resident, they can use their SingPass to log in, anytime after 3 pm on 21 Feb.

Do refer to SEAB’s announcement for more information on the online collection.

MOE encourages candidates that are on quarantine orders, Leave Of Absence (LOA) and travel restrictions to access this option.

All the best to the students receiving their A-level results

The days leading up to results collection day is never easy, especially when our students have put their best foot forward and mugged for months on end.

Some might feel even more vulnerable, now that they are getting their results in smaller groups.

While this process might be nerve-wrecking, do take a moment to acknowledge the efforts you put in and have the courage to face what lies ahead.

We wish all students collecting their results on 21 Feb all the best.
