In crowded urban areas like Singapore, the chances of seeing an alpaca on the road is close to zero.
One woman, however, recently shared her experience of taking her pet alpaca on a stroll around a neighbourhood.
In an unfortunate turn of events, the woman ended up injured after the leashed animal abruptly dragged her.
It is unclear when and where the incident occurred.
In the video posted on Xiaohongshu, the two were having a leisurely night stroll when the alpaca suddenly sped up.
As the owner was holding its leash, she was dragged along across the road.
Based on a photo she shared, the woman subsequently had her injuries treated at what appeared to be a clinic.
Both her knees were bloodied, while parts of her hands were also injured.
The woman, however, made light of the incident — noting how lucky she was that no one had been around to witness the “embarassing” incident.
Netizens were equally concerned and amused, with some leaving humorous comments on the post.
“Master, I will take you to feel the feeling of Mercedes-Benz,” one commenter said, pretending to be the alpaca.
Some also expressed worry towards the owner and reminded her to pay attention to her safety next time.
“I can feel the pain even through the screen when I see the wound,” a netizen wrote.
