The ongoing trial involving Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh and former Workers’ Party (WP) Member of Parliament (MP) Raeesah Khan has garnered its fair share of attention since it kicked off earlier this week.
While many are keen on how the trial would unfold, others seem to have taken an interest in something someone else — Mr Singh’s lawyer, Mr Andre Jumabhoy.
With his scruffy facial hair, sharp features, and rugged, almost cinematic presence, some netizens have gone so far as to label him “Singapore’s GigaChad”, comparing his look to that of a suave action hero or a brooding Bond villain.
Mr Jumabhoy’s striking facial features give off the aura of a lawyer straight out of a courtroom drama.
His lethal combination of chiselled jawline, intense gaze, and dapper hairstyle also unmistakably says ‘I mean business’.
His sharp suits, tailored to perfection, further emphasise his well-built physique, projecting both style and strength.
A photo from The Straits Times (ST) also revealed the tasteful maroon lining beneath one of his jackets, showcasing his attention to detail.
While suits can sometimes come across as too formal, Mr Jumabhoy balances it out with his salt-and-pepper designer stubble, adding a touch of mystery to his sharp corporate appearance.
Mr Jumabhoy also sports a sleek dark ring that’s understated yet exuding a style that matches his enigmatic aura.
Online, the chatter has been abuzz, with many curious about Mr Jumabhoy.
On Hardwarezone for example, a thread titled “Who is Andre Jumabhoy?” has drawn a flurry of responses, with one user commenting: “He looks macho.”
Another gushed over how “attractive and charismatic” he is.
In fact, several have compared Mr Jumabhoy to Ernest Khalimov — better known as ‘GigaChad’.
The comparison isn’t hard to see, especially with the dark gaze both men share.
A former state counsel, Mr Jumabhoy has expertise in various areas, including insider trading, bribery, and money laundering.
He is now Managing Director at Andre Jumabhoy LLC — a law firm that specialises in criminal litigation.
