A burst water pipe at Ang Mo Kio Hub (AMK Hub) resulted in a cascade of water falling from the ceiling of a food court.
On Monday (4 Nov), Instagram page SGfollowsall shared a video showing water streaming down from the ceiling and onto a table.
Several individuals, presumably staff working at the food court, were seen gathered around the affected table.
In response to 8world News’ query, Link Real Estate Investment Trust (Link REIT), which manages AMK Hub, confirmed that a water pipe had burst, causing a leak in the mall’s Malaysia Boleh! food court.
Fortunately, the food court was closed at the time to allow cleaners and security personnel to assist with the situation.
Link REIT said the leak was quickly contained and the damaged pipe has been replaced.
It apologised for the inconvenience caused to tenants and customers and assured that the company remains committed to providing a safe and enjoyable shopping experience for visitors
After the video was posted, many netizens took to the comments section to joke about the incident.
One netizen said it was a “waterfall feature” at the mall.
Another netizen joked that the mall took inspiration from Jewel Changi Airport’s indoor waterfall to attract visitors.
