Many OCBC users reportedly received their Assurance Package (AP) payouts on Tuesday (3 Dec) morning.
Last month, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced that eligible Singaporeans would receive the payouts from Thursday (5 Dec).
Hardwarezone users reportedly received the payouts from as early as 3.04am.
OCBC users were also among the first to receive their AP payouts last year.
As of the time of this article, there have been no reports of UOB and POSB/DBS users receiving the funds.
In a press release, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced that about 2.9 million Singaporeans aged 21 and above are expected to receive the payouts from 5 Dec.
The payments disbursed this year range between S$200 and S$600, depending on individuals’ income and property ownership.
The AP cash payment was announced by Finance Minister and then-Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during Budget 2024 in February.
The payments aim to alleviate cost-of-living pressures for Singaporean households and to provide more support for lower and middle-income families.
Citizens can log into the govbenefits website using their Singpass account to enquire about their eligibility.
