12 Apple SG Job Openings That Will Kickstart Your Tech Career

Apple Singapore Hiring At Singapore East, Prompting Rumours Of A Second Store

On Tuesday (Sep 11), Apple posted 12 job openings for its Singapore operations. Positions are available in a number of the tech giant’s departments, among them creative, tech and operations.

Interestingly, the 12 openings are available in “Singapore East”. That’s odd, since Apple’s only Singapore store is located at Orchard Road.

But MustShareNews understands that the second store will open at Jewel Changi, the brand new retail development at Changi Airport.

But even if you’re not posted there, you’ll still have a chance to work at Apple’s swanky offices at one-north and Ang Mo Kio, or its Orchard store.

Here are the 12 jobs available:

Some of these, such as the “Apple Store Leader Programme”, don’t require prior working experience. Candidates successful in school are welcome to apply.

Continue your education as you study the art of leadership at the Apple Store. You’ll master our retail business inside and out through training, hands-on experience and mentorship.  If you’re a natural leader, the Apple Store Leader Programme is your opportunity to shine.

Other positions generally require the usual 5 to 7 years of experience. But many of these, including the Manager position, welcome cross-industry experience.

Whoa, Apple

Why join the tech giant? The benefits, duh. These have been raved about for years. One review on Glassdoor says that employees enjoy a flexible schedule as well as 15 days of annual leave, and 14 days of medical leave.

But the highlight of working at Apple is undoubtedly the firm’s famed cafeteria.

Just imagine that entire space filled with free food. You read right: food at the Apple staff cafeteria is free for employees.

It may not be the Caffe Macs its famous California eatery, but it sure beats chicken rice every day.

Other benefits

Other benefits worth joining the company for include stock options and access to a well-equipped gym. One business analyst even dubbed it the “perfect place to work”, citing learning opportunities and emphasis on tech skills.

Employees can also look forward to a collaborative work culture that claims to be low on politics.

But as with every job, the experience you have largely depends on you and your willingness to learn and adapt. But if a career in tech is what you’re looking for, there’s no better place to start than at Apple.
