Ever thought of going camping but turned off by the idea of getting grimy and dirty?
A glamping – AKA glamorous camping – resort in Bintan looks to solve that, and will be officially opening its doors to the public in Feb 2020, just in time for a March holiday vacation.
Here’s what you can expect from The ANMON Resort at Treasure Bay Bintan.
The ANMON resort, which held its soft launch earlier this year, shows us the meaning of glamour in the term glamping.
The beautiful leisure grounds are dotted with 45 sqm tepee tents, giving a hotel-like experience even though you’re supposed to be camping outdoors.
Upon walking into each of these tents, prepare to be greeted by a calming nordic-themed bedroom furnished with earth tones splashed across the walls.
Each tepee tent also has its own bathroom that won’t look out of place at an atas resort.
With brown and white as its main colour scheme, this bathroom reminds us of a classy MUJI store.
You can find toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel placed in refillable bottles, so you won’t need to worry about weighing your luggage down with your own.
Also, each of these tepee tents can accommodate up to 4 people, making it perfect for a family trip or vacation with friends.
The resort’s PR spokesperson told MS News that prices start from S$120 per room per night. Depending on your travel dates, it could go up to around $300.
Prices are still relatively affordable if you split them between your travel buddies.
Not only do these tepee tents look cool, their names are pretty dope as well.
Each cluster of tepees is named after a desert mineral like Amber, Borax, Opal, and Garnet.
Despite its desert-inspired surroundings, this resort is relatively tech-savvy as well.
ANMON uses a digital concierge service, meaning you’ll be able to get in touch with various concierge services through your phone.
You can also make use of services like planning a resort itinerary just by scanning a QR code with your phone camera. How cool.
No vacation is complete without indulging in endless amounts of good food. You won’t be missing out on this at the ANMON resort.
The ANMON resort has 2 dining areas — The Compass Rose and TIPI Bar.
The Compass Rose, is a 150-seater restaurant that serves a series of Mediterranean fusion cuisines.
Guests can even choose from a series of vegan and vegetarian options.
But if you’re looking for a place to chill and have a drink, you can visit the TIPI Bar for desert inspired cocktails and mocktails.
If you’d like, you can even get to indulge in a shisha session there.
Topping it all off, this resort has an all-day social space called The Oasis — a party pool by day and an open-air movie zone by night.
To get there, you’ll have to take a 45-minute ferry ride to Bandar Bintan Telani ferry terminal. Afterwards, hop on a 2-minute bus ride and you’ll arrive at Treasure Bay Bintan.
