The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced 305 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday (18 May), including a 58-year-old Singaporean woman who works at Bishan MRT.
On Tuesday (19 May), SMRT revealed more information regarding the staff and the steps they have taken since she tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to The Straits Times (ST), the 58-year-old woman works as a service ambassador at Bishan MRT station.
She last reported for work last Friday (15 May) after displaying symptoms the day before.
The area that she came into contact with has since undergone thorough cleaning and disinfection, reports ST.
As of the time of this article, her case remains unlinked but SMRT is assisting MOH with their contact tracing efforts.
The company is also rendering assistance to the staff and her family.
She is currently in a stable condition.
We wish the SMRT staff a speedy recovery and hope she will be discharged soon.
