On Friday (29 Nov) morning, six vehicles were involved in a chain collision along Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE)
Footage of the accident shared on social media showed that the accident occurred on the two left-most and middle lanes of the three-lane expressway.
Several vehicles appeared to have sustained damage, including a bus and two lorries.
The front of a blue bus appeared crushed from the collision. Its windshield was also shattered.
The impact of the collision caused the rear section of one of the lorries to cave in.
A while car on the left-most lane also looked badly crushed as a result of the accident.
Responding to MS News‘ queries, the Singapore Civil Defence confirmed that they were alerted to the accident at about 8am on Friday (29 Nov).
The chain collision happened aloong BKE towards Woodlands Checkpoint, before Woodlands Checkpoint Viaduct.
17 individuals subsequently were conveyed to the hospital.
In a seperate statement, the police shared that the accident involved two cars, three lorries, and a lorry.
The indivudals conveyed to hospital were aged between 22 and 63.
Police investigations are ongoing.
