UPDATE (8 Mar, 11.45am): A spokesperson from McDonald’s informed MS News that they have reached out to the customer immediately upon being alerted to address her concerns.
The restaurant and quality assurance teams also promptly investigated the incident further.
McDonald’s assures all customers that food safety is of utmost importance to them, and that they are committed to serving safe and quality food at all times.

Such was the unfortunate incident for one woman, who ordered a Filet-O-Fish from McDonald’s Ang Mo Kio Park outlet.
She discovered bones in the fast food brand’s classic fish sandwich, which was supposed to be bone-free. She took to Facebook on Saturday (7 Mar) and posted her shocking discovery.

The woman Ms Loh placed all the bones on top of the buns and hastily drew 5 pink circles around the ‘collection’.
“No prize for guessing how many bones were found inside your Filet-O-Fish!”, she writes after tagging McDonald’s Singapore. She added,
What happens if this is a child who is eating this? Pls explain?!
Which is a fair point, as bones are really the last thing you’d expect to find in fish fillet. Something fishy definitely went down here.
Ms Loh then details that she ordered this today (7 Mar) at McDonald’s Ang Mo Kio Park outlet at 12.45pm.
When botched surprises like this find you, the most natural response is to find the business’ manager on duty.
A like-minded Facebook user somehow knew the standard reply for service staff when faced with such problems: “There’s nothing much they can do other than feedback their supply chain.”
Ms Loh replied, alleging that the manager on duty said exactly the same thing to her.
We’ve reached out to McDonald’s for comment, and will update as soon as we have their reply.
The food and beverage sector can be a brutal world. With high demands from customers, there is so much they have to look out for.
Sometimes, they’ll just have to trust that their suppliers are doing a good job in delivering the goods. No matter what may have caused Ms Loh’s botched order, hopefully it is just a one-time mistake.
