In late April, Singaporean cyclist Mr Louis Lai collapsed at Bukit Batok while riding his bike. He tragically passed away later that evening.
Despite numerous attempts, his family members are still unable to locate Mr Lai’s beloved bike nearly 3 weeks after it was lost on 28 Apr.
His family members had sought help to locate the bike via a Facebook post on 14 May.
According to the post, Mr Lai abruptly fell off his bicycle on 28 Apr. An ambulance soon arrived but the medical team were unable to bring the bike along with them.
His relative, Ms Goh, describes it as a 2014 Pivot Mac 6 that is army green in colour with wheels from Kenda Tire.
It was left along the roadside at Blk 242 Bukit Batok East Avenue 2 at around 5.15pm.
Even though Mr Lai’s family members “immediately” went to the site of the accident to locate the bike, there were no signs of it when they arrived.
Ms Goh shares that the bike was dear to the deceased cyclist, which is presumably why they are still trying to find it 3 weeks after his passing.
The grieving family hopes to remember Mr Lai by this bicycle and hope that netizens can help locate the missing item.
If you have any information regarding the missing bike, do reach out to Mr Lai’s relatives via the contact number provided in the Facebook post.
Our condolences go out to Mr Lai’s friends and family. We hope the bike will be found soon.
