Even though bus drivers play an important role in the daily commute of Singaporeans, it would seem that we don’t have enough of them.
In hopes of attracting more to pursue bus driving as a career, transport companies SBS Transit, SMRT and Go-Ahead are offering new bus drivers up to $3,500 monthly salary & up to 21 days of annual leave.
According to Lianhe Zaobao on Wednesday (16 Oct), the companies are offering these attractive incentives due to a lack of manpower needed to keep bus operations in Singapore going.
In addition to the attractive 21-day annual leave, some other benefits include free bus & MRT rides, and medical benefits for new drivers.
Training will also be provided to accepted applicants so they can understand the job better.
To make the job offer even sweeter, SBS and SMRT are also offering new drivers a $3,000 sign-on bonus.
According to the advertisements made by the bus companies, you will need a Singapore class 3 driver’s license and at least 1 year of driving experience for you to be able to apply for this job.
Go-Ahead has invited interested applicants to proceed to their head office at Loyang from Mondays to Thursdays for an interview.
