A tour bus carrying 41 passengers reportedly rear-ended a trailer on the North-South Expressway, resulting in injuries a few passengers.
The accident occurred in the wee hours of Saturday (9 Nov) while the bus was headed from Melaka to Kedah.
According to Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, Perak Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director of Operations, the department received an emergency call regarding the accident at about 4.03am.
Upon arrival, the rescue team discovered that the front of the tour bus had sustained considerable damage, believing it had collided with the back of a trailer.

Out of all the passengers, four sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident.
Meanwhile, the other passengers including the bus driver were unharmed, according to The Star.
They reportedly escaped the vehicle before the rescue teams arrived. “No one was trapped inside the bus,” said Mr Sabarodzi.
The injured received initial medical treatment before being transferred to a hospital, and the rescue operation ended at around 5.01am, reports New Straits Times (NST).
