A passerby in Singapore recently spotted the odd sight of a hanging chicken while walking around the Jalan Besar area.
The incident was first reported by STOMP, which included images of a whole, plucked chicken suspended from a yellow bamboo pole usually meant for drying clothes.
A woman and her family said that they witnessed the scene on 28 Oct.
She also observed liquid dripping from the bird onto another resident’s clothes hanging below. However, it is unclear if the chicken has been cooked.
The individual who had hung the chicken was a resident of 642 Rowell Road, reported Shin Min Daily News.
In response, the woman informed the Jalan Besar Town Council (JBTC) of the incident.
JBTC reportedly visited the unit on 30 Oct, advising the resident to remove the chicken after which they complied.
MS News has reached out to JBTC for comment.
