One puppy became many

Ms Tanchanok Kanawaong, shared with Bored Panda that she has always been a dog-lover. She even owned “up to 10 Siberian Huskies and Golden Retrievers” at one point.

After they passed away, she found a new companion in a baby Corgi pupper. She decided to get a playmate for him shortly after.

Before she knew it, she was the proud fur-parent of 5 dogs. And then something incredible happened.

One of her dogs birthed a surprise litter of 7 puppies.

As they grew older, she was inspired to “share the joy” that came from seeing them running around her garden as a short stack — sorry, pack.

Thus, the concept for Corgi in the Garden was born.

Expect handshakes & Corgi sploots

Guests of the cafe – opened on 18 Jan 2019 – can expect a hoard of adorable puppers to greet you when you enter.

The charming pack of corgis have already stolen our hearts in these pictures, so we expect to shed a few man-tears when we actually see them in person.

Yes, they even have matching attires to boot.

1-hour play sessions

Play sessions with the corgis are also limited at the busy cafe, to make sure that they get sufficient rest.

The dogs get to meet with their fans in 3 x 1-hour sessions over the course of the day.

Source

A limited number of people will be allowed in to play with them for S$10.79 (250 Baht) per person. This price includes a drink.

At specific timeslots, 10:30am (For Sat & Sun only), 12:30pm, 2:30pm and 4:30pm, guests will be allowed to interact with the puppies in a safe & enclosed space.

Visitors will have to wear plastic covers over their feet and sanitise their hands before interacting with the corgis.

Source

This is to help keep their environment clean, so the dogs won’t come into contact with germs or dangerous substances.

Keeping fit with a training regime

Before meeting with guests, corgis at this cafe also have to attend scheduled swimming lessons and grooming sessions to keep them in tip top shape.

They’re also encouraged to exercise on treadmills to ensure that they won’t grow chubby from all the splooting they are doing in the comfy cafe environment.
