A chilling murder case was recently uncovered at Taman OUG in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
According to China Press, a man killed his mother and stored her corpse in a fridge for the past three years, living with her frozen remains in his home.
Police officers were seen at the scene, with at least two vehicles present and a yellow police tape cordoning off the man’s residence.
An ambulance was also spotted arriving.
Another image captured by China Press shows a fridge — believed to be the one containing the lifeless body of the man’s mother — being removed from the property.
The murder, believed to have occurred during Malaysia’s Movement Control Order (MCO) about three years ago, resulted from a dispute between a 53-year-old man and his 80-year-old mother.
Fearing the discovery of his crime, the man hid her body in a fridge to preserve it.
The suspect, who had been living with his estranged mother, grew anxious after depleting his savings.
He feared the fridge would stop working, allowing the body to decompose.
Recently suffering a stroke, he also felt the pressure of his impending death and the growing risk of being caught, prompting him to turn himself in.
Upon receiving the report, the police rushed to the scene and arrested the suspect without incident.
A forensics team was also deployed to collect evidence and begin the investigation.
Kuala Lumpur’s police chief confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are still ongoing, with the motive of the crime yet to be revealed.
