On Tuesday (19 May), Singapore preliminarily confirmed 451 new Covid-19 cases, with 450 of them work-permit holders living in dormitories.
The only new case that is not from a dormitory is a 30-year-old Singaporean man, who is a household contact of the Bishan MRT service ambassador who tested positive on Monday (18 May).
We now have a total of 28,794 confirmed cases, with 530 more cases discharged, meaning 10,365 have fully recovered, the Ministry of Health (MOH) reported.
As the authorities continue to link new and previously announced cases, two new clusters have been found:
Two clusters have also been closed: NCS Hub (5 Ang Mo Kio Street 62) and CitiWall (34 Kaki Bukit Crescent)
No new cases have been linked to these clusters for the past two incubation periods (28 days).
Of the 1,004 cases still warded, 10 are in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while 22 have died.
17,403 have been isolated and sent to community isolation facilities as they are clinically well but still test positive for Covid-19.
MS News wishes those infected a quick recovery.
