On Thursday (26 Mar), Singapore confirmed 52 new Covid-19 cases, with 28 of them imported cases and 24 new local cases.
We now have a total of 683 confirmed cases, with 12 more cases discharged from hospital, meaning 172 have fully recovered.
Of the 404 cases still warded, 18 are in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while 2 have died.
87 cases are clinically well but still test positive for Covid-19, so they have been transferred to Concord International Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital and the Community Isolation Facility at D’Resort NTUC.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) also reported that of the 24 local cases:
Among the locally transmitted cases, the cluster at Fengshan Sparkletots has grown bigger, with the number of cases linked to the cluster rising to 20.
15 of the cases are staff at the school, while the other 5 are relatives of the the school’s principal, case 601.
The cases have caused all PAP Community Foundation (PCF) centres to be closed for 4 days beginning on Thursday (26 Mar).
One of the cases is a 32 year-old Associate Consultant at the National Skin Centre.
The female Singapore citizen, who is case 666, has no travel history to affected countries or regions.
She showed symptoms on 24 Mar, and tested positive for Covid-19 on 26 March morning. She is now in an isolation room at the Singapore General Hospital.
She had gone to work before being admitted to hospital.
Imported cases continue to make up a large portion of the cases, with 26 out of the 28 imported cases on Thursday (26 Mar) returning residents and long-term pass holders.
They had travel history to Europe, North America, the Middle East, ASEAN and other parts of Asia.
