Spending our final days on this earth alone is a crippling thought for many of us, especially when we have people to call family.
For critically ill patient Mr Tang Chor Peng (陈楚平), this is a real threat, if he doesn’t manage to find his family members who he hasn’t seen in 35 years.
Thankfully, St. Andrew’s Community Hospital (SACH) in Simei where he’s staying at, has generously offered to help. But they’ll need our assistance too.
SACH posted an appeal on Facebook yesterday (4 Jun) to locate the family members of 81-year-old Mr Tang.
According to them, Mr Tang used to live with his ex-wife Lin Qiao Yu (林巧玉), and 3 daughters Chen Su Zhen (陈秀珍), Chen Su Lian (陈秀莲), Chen Su Zhen (陈素贞) back in 1985.
Living on the 9th floor of Block 27 New Upper Changi Road, the family has not been together for over 30 years for reasons not mentioned.
SACH also listed Mr Tang’s younger brother, Mr Chen Xu Ping (陈旭平), who lived in Boon Lay with 2 children, to the patient’s last knowledge.
Mr Tang is currently warded in the SACH Palliative Care Ward. SACH states that he is critically ill, and appeals to anyone with information to come forward.
If you do, you may contact Senior Medical Social Worker, Ms KT Leong via telephone or email at the following:
We sincerely hope that Mr Tang will be able to meet his family and fulfill his final wish.
