With the ongoing Wuhan pandemic, more people are taking their hygiene seriously.
Snaking queues for face masks at pharmacies have become a norm, with many outlets quickly running out of stock.
To make the masks more accessible to everyone, the government recently announced that each household will receive 4 masks for free till this Sunday (9 Feb).
But if you have a big family or are already running out, you’ll need alternatives.
Now, you can get a box of 30 masks from Daiso Singapore for just $2, according to Great Deals Singapore.
To put things into perspective, each mask will only cost roughly $0.07. That’s a price you don’t hear anywhere.
The masks come in two different sizes, with the pink box supposedly for women due to the smaller cutting, and the blue box for men.
According to descriptions on the packaging, the masks have 3 layers that will filter pollen, bacteria, and dust.
While there’s no certainty that the mask is waterproof, we’re hoping that protection from bacteria would mean a basic safeguard from unwelcome sneezes and coughs.
Do note that these are not confirmed to be surgical masks.
According to Great Deals Singapore, the masks will be stocked progressively at all Daiso outlets.
Due to high demand, each customer is entitled to only one box per transaction.
That may sound restrictive, but at least it could stop scalpers from reselling them online at ridiculously high prices.
If you want to get your hands on the boxes of face masks, visit the nearest Daiso outlet soon, before they run out. But remember, that you only need to wear them if you’re feeling unwell.
