Just a year after reconciling, Malaysian singer-actress Diana Danielle is once again filing for divorce from her husband, Farid Kamil.
The 32-year-old actress announced the decision in an Instagram Story post on Monday (28 Oct).
“No, I will not explain why. Maybe he will as usual with flowers and rings and empty promises”, Diana said in her statement.
Diana was seemingly referencing events last year when Farid brought flowers and a ring during their previous divorce proceeding.
According to Malay Mail, Diana’s Shariah lawyer has confirmed her intentions to officially part ways with her husband.
“My client has already given instructions to file, and I am preparing both the reconciliation and divorce processes. We will file at any time,” he said.
He added that Diana is “resolute” in her decision and requested them to act “immediately”.
Diana had previously filed for divorce from Farid in March 2023 — the split was finalised on 10 Aug.
She cited irreconcilable differences, prolonged disputes, and an inability to continue living together as husband and wife as reasons behind the divorce.
However, the pair reconciled just three weeks later, on 31 Aug 2023.
In an interview with mStar, the actress shared that the couple reconciled as she “wanted the best” for her two children.
“I grew up without the love of a father, and I don’t want my children to go through the same thing,” she said in the interview in Sept 2023.
Diana and Farid have two children together — a 10-year-old son and an eight-year-old daughter.
