Disney fans, rejoice.
In partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), Disney Cruise Line is set to launch voyages from Marina Bay Cruise Centre in just a few months.
Starting from 2025, the three and four-night cruises will run for at least five years.
Guests onboard the Disney Adventure can look forward to a medley of activities — from meeting their favourite characters to enjoying Disney film classics in the ship’s theatre spaces.
Though more details about the maiden voyage and onboard activities will be announced at a later date, Disney Cruise Line has revealed a teaser of what to expect.
Guests aboard the ship can look forward to seven uniquely themed areas. These are:
Each area will feature characters and decor reminiscent of well-known Disney films — while offering food, entertainment, and the basic services expected of a cruise.
For example, the Town Square is described as a “fantastical forest” of shops, cafes, and restaurants inspired by Tangled, Cinderella, Frozen, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, among others.
Disney Discovery Reef will similarly offer shopping and dining options. However, guests can expect a more nautical theme drawing from The Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch, and Finding Nemo.
Meanwhile, at the heart of the cruise is the Disney Imagination Garden — billed as an open-air performance venue.
Guests looking to rest and recover can do so at a Moana-inspired poolside retreat called Wayfinder Bay.
For action seekers, Marvel Landing and Toy Story Place will offer attractions celebrating Marvel’s superheroes and water-play areas respectively.
Lastly, families can head to the Big Hero 6-inspired San Fransokyo Street which will feature cinemas and interactive games.
Disney Cruise Line promises a good time for children and adults — with premium dining, lounge, and spa experiences for the latter.
“By infusing Disney’s signature service with handpicked experiences unique to Asia, guests can look forward to the magic at sea through personalized touches, a selection of global cuisines, and abundant retail offerings carrying a distinct local flavor,” said Sarah Fox, Vice President and Regional General Manager, Asia, Disney Cruise Line.
The Disney experience does not stop at these community-themed areas.
Guests can also escape from the excitement in their Disney-inspired accommodations.
According to the Disney Cruise website, there are a diverse range of room types with ocean views and also those that overlook the ship’s interior.
These staterooms are complete with family-friendly conveniences such as Disney Cruise Line’s signature spilt-bath concept.
The bath allows two individuals to get ready at once.
Sharon Siskie, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Cruise Line, said that “these uniquely Disney experiences will inspire families to reconnect” and “recharge”.
With character encounters, stage shows featuring Disney songs, karaoke, and film viewings abound, there is an experience for everybody regardless of age.
Those looking forward to more details can follow Disney Cruise Line on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
