Famed Japanese discount chain store Don Don Donki plans to open 10 stores in Singapore by 2020.
And it’s well on the way to achieving that mission.
Since opening its first store at Orchard Central last December, the hypermart has already opened another massive outlet at Tanjong Pagar 100AM.
Now, it’s time for Don Don Donki #3. Fans anticipating this store, get ready, because the wait is finally over.
Don Don Donki will be bringing over their quirky retail experience to the third outlet located at City Square Mall.
The megastore’s doors are slated to open in January 2019, although the exact date has yet to be confirmed.
Lucky you, NEL people.
You may ask — how do we know? Well, signs and posters have been plastered all around the basement of the eco-friendly mall.
Plus, Don Don Donki just ended its latest walk-in recruitment drive a few days ago.
Don Don Donki has amassed a cult following ever since it moved to Singapore last year. This comes as no surprise, since we all live for cheap deals.
The store boasts a jaw-dropping variety of goods that include cosmetics, novelty items, everyday household goods and even fresh foods such as fruits, meats and takeaway meals.
It infamously even sold sex toys, although these were quickly taken off the market.
We hope that Don Don Donki will be selling its renowned baked sweet potato at its City Square outlet as well.
So if Japan is too expensive for you right now, fret not.
A trip to Don Don Donki should do the trick. For those who can’t tahan the wait, consider visiting these two other outlets first.
