According to the official website, the two-day event will take place from 11 to 12 Sep at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre.
Organised jointly by the Singapore Academy of Law and the Ministry of Law, TechLaw.Fest will showcase a dynamic programme of talks and exhibitions exploring the intersections of law, technology, and business.
Other notable attendees include Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Edwin Tong, as well as local musician Inch Chua.
While Emma Watson rose to fame for her role in the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, she is also a passionate advocate for gender equality.
In July 2014, the United Nations (UN) appointed her as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador.
She delivered a speech for UN’s HeForShe campaign, which went viral.
At TechLaw.Fest, Emma Watson will be joined by her father Chris Watson, one of the world’s leading experts in communications law.
The official programme indicates that the pair will take the stage on 12 Sep from 9.30am to 10.15am in a session titled ‘Breaking Barriers: A Conversation with Chris Watson and Emma Watson on Diversity, Inclusion and the Future’.
However, Channel NewsAsia (CNA) noted that it remains uncertain whether Emma Watson will be present in person or participate virtually.
Visitors must register for a pass to attend the event.
