Those in the Rochor and Little India area, take note: The FairPrice supermarket in Tekka Place will be closing permanently next Wednesday (22 Feb).
Singapore Atrium Sale shared the news on its Facebook page today (15 Feb).
A Facebook user corroborated the information with a photo of a notice announcing the supermarket’s last day of operations, which is Tuesday (21 Feb).

The POSB ATM outside the supermarket will also cease operations from 21 Feb, Singapore Atrium Sale reported.
According to the notice, the nearest FairPrice supermarket to the Tekka Place outlet is in City Square Mall, about a kilometre away.

From Tekka Place, shoppers can take a 10-minute bus ride to City Square Mall.
The bus services that serve the two malls are 23, 65, 139, 147, and 857.
Alternatively, shoppers can take the train to Farrer Park MRT station from Little India MRT station via the North East Line.

The Tekka Place FairPrice outlet opened almost three years ago in Mar 2020.
According to a blog post by Jalan Besar GRC MP Denise Phua, the supermarket was opened after the closure of the previous Rochor outlet.
