In a heartbreaking story of a parent’s love, a father of one in Thailand was arrested for stealing items from a local store in Rayong province in Thailand at around 7pm on Wednesday (20 Nov). The stolen items include toys, skincare, and drill bits.
The 41-year-old man, Ek, admitted to the theft and explained that he needed the drillbits and the skincare items for personal use. Additionally, the father also wanted to send the toys to his child, who lives in Buriram province.
He added that he felt bad for his child and wanted him to have toys to play with, as the child had lost his mother.
He also confessed to committing theft on three separate occasions, according to Thai news media PPTV.
The head of the community, Mr Channarong Rawongpan (name transliterated from Thai), said he was notified of the theft by a witness.
He then arrived at the store and found Ek with the stolen items tucked in his pants, prompting him to detain him.
The police later arrived and apprehended Ek.
The man was taken to the police station for interrogation and he is currently awaiting the charges to be pressed on him.
