Ride-hailing company Grab has partnered with the Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) to provide free shuttle bus services for visitors travelling out of Sentosa during peak hours.
Leaving the island can sometimes be a hassle, and high private hire car prices and long walks can dampen the experience.
But with the new complimentary shuttle bus service, connectivity is set to improve, as announced on Tuesday (4 March).

Both companies have carefully designed the initiative to make the travel experience smoother and more convenient for all visitors.
Grab’s solution provides visitors with complimentary first-mile transportation from Sentosa.
This offers the flexibility of continuing their journey either via public transport or by booking a Grab ride from locations with higher driver availability.
The shuttle bus will operate from Beach Station (Berth 12 and 13) to HarbourFront Bus Interchange at the following times:

Passengers using the free shuttle service will soon be able to scan a QR code located on the back of the bus seats.
This will allow them to redeem vouchers for Grab’s ride-hailing services, which will be stored in their GrabRewards account for easy use on future rides.
As Sentosa continues to attract a growing number of visitors, the newly updated pick-up and drop-off (PUDO) points aim to streamline the experience for both guests and Grab driver-partners.
By leveraging visitor feedback and Grab’s data, the PUDO points across the island have been optimised for better convenience.
As part of the collaboration, 10 PUDO locations will be refreshed, making it easier for visitors and drivers to connect.

All PUDO stations have been carefully selected to minimise walking distances and are clearly marked with prominent signage displaying their exact locations.
Additionally, the Grab app offers detailed instructions, complete with supporting images, to guide visitors to the nearest pick-up points.

Getting a private hire car during peak hours often means paying a premium to travel to and from Sentosa, making it less than ideal for many visitors.
This is where the need for a shuttle bus service comes in, designed to offer a more affordable and convenient alternative during busy periods.
The shuttle service is a key part of a broader effort to improve accessibility and convenience for visitors, ensuring a smoother travel experience.
This initiative marks the start of a three-year partnership between Grab Singapore and SDC, focusing on enhancing connectivity for guests.
