Singaporean Man Is A Hardcore Frozen & Disney Fan

When Frozen was released in 2013, it earned an avalanche of praise and hype from fans, and became one of the biggest animated films of all time.

And as many of you already know, the movie’s sequel “Frozen 2” is hitting our cinemas today (21 Nov).

Spent $30,000 on Frozen & Disney merch

In a recent interview with The Straits Times, Mr Hilman shared that he generously let go of his money to amass a bountiful collection of Disney merchandise.

He invested “at least $30,000” on them.

Apart from that, he spent around $6,000 solely on Frozen merchandise — a testament to his undying love for the animated series. Mr Hilman shared,

Frozen is one of my favourite recent Disney movies because it feels like new generation of Broadway musical brought to the screen through animation.

According to The Straits Times, Mr Hilman has already updated his collection with Frozen 2 merchandise, including a Hasbro doll of Elsa in her new dress.

The publication also noted that one of Mr Hilman’s most extravagant buy is a limited edition Elsa doll released in conjunction with the first Frozen movie. There were only 2,500 of them in the world.

Desperate to add them to his collection, Mr Hilman ended up spending around S$2,661 on his precious Disney princess.

The first doll he bought from a Facebook user for S$1,361 was not in quality condition when he received it. Hence, it prompted him to fork out another S$1,300 to get a new one.

Disney Singapore sent him a Frozen 2 media kit

Mr Hilman is such a big fan that even Disney Singapore sent him a humongous media kit to get him all hyped up – as if he isn’t already – for the new movie.

He also got invited to Frozen 2’s media screening prior to the movie release.

However, watching it once isn’t enough for him. Mr Hilman shared with The Straits Times that he plans to watch the movie at least 2 more times after the premiere.

The publication also shared that the Disney enthusiast already learnt the songs from the sequel so he can karaoke in the movies. Mr Hilman has this to say,

I just love the songs. My favourite in the first movie was ‘For The First Time In Forever’, when I listen to that song, I truly feel my spirits lift. I listen to it in the morning to get me up and going

So if you get to sit next to him in the cinema by chance, don’t be surprised to catch him fan-boying beside you.

Singaporean man takes his Frozen passion seriously

No matter the age, Mr Hilman has shown that passion for Disney and all their films doesn’t only exist in kids. Their stories of adventure and love clearly appeal to people from all walks of life.

With that being said, Mr Hilman takes his passion very seriously, as depicted on his Instagram feed.

It looks like he has a flair for photography too, seeing how well-shot the photographs of his prized possessions are.
