A 12-year-old Cambodian girl in Thailand was tragically electrocuted in her home while using her sister’s phone that was charging.

The victim’s 36-year-old father shared that the fatal accident occurred at around 5pm on Monday (28 Oct).

He said that she was holding the phone tightly when the family found her.

She was pronounced dead after being rushed to hospital

After discovering his daughter in such a state, he rushed her to a nearby grocery store to ask for help.

Unfortunately, the girl was pronounced dead after she was sent to a hospital, reports Thairath.

The girl often played on her phone while charging it despite being warned of its dangers multiple times.

Her 17-year-old sister, Ms Nuch, said that on the fateful day of the accident, the victim had fallen asleep while using the charging device.

When Ms Nuch found her, she had already been electrocuted and was taking her last breaths, with blood flowing out of her mouth.

The victim’s funeral was held at a local temple in Rayong Province on Wednesday (30 Oct).
