Whether it was for profits or out of pure love for the Japanese feline, Hello Kitty, this petrol kiosk in Philippines nailed it.
Pictures of the exuberantly pink kiosk were uploaded to Facebook last month (Sep) and netizens have since shared the album close to 6,000 times.
According to reports, this kiosk is in Surallah, South Cotabato, Philippines.
The couple who owns the station told The Filipino Times that they dedicated the name Tres Marias Hello Kitty, to their 3 children.
They’ve been operating the petrol station for 6 years.
And they chose Hello Kitty because the wife is a huge fan of the Sanrio character.
Almost everything in the petrol station is pink, from the walls to the petrol pumps. We can’t imagine how much time and effort that must have taken.
While the Insta-crazy lot obsess over capturing the station in all its pink glory, others questioned the premises’ legality.
This Twitter user, for example, asked if the couple would need to seek permission from Sanrio.
According to Sanrio’s Hello Kitty policy, “copying, reproduction, and/or republication are strictly prohibited.”
Let’s hope the couple doesn’t get into trouble for this. Bringing joy to others shouldn’t come with a hefty price tag.
