Recently, a video of fried chicken burgers filled with scoops of ice cream has gone viral on TikTok, sparking polarised opinions online.
The unique item is sold at Burger Ji Legend, a roadside burger stall in Kuala Lumpur (KL).
Shared by @kl.foodied, the clip shows one of the employees preparing burgers by placing fried chicken pieces on bottom buns, scooping ice cream from a box and putting it on top of the meat, before squeezing them together into an ice cream fried chicken burger.
The employee introduces it as the stall’s new burger, calling it an “ice cream burger”.
He also mentions the stall typically offers three scoops per burger but will include an extra scoop for free upon customer request.
One burger is said to cost only RM7 (S$2.13).
Following the video’s release, the food’s uniqueness caught the attention of numerous netizens.
Some netizens described the invention as strange, while others claimed it was delicious.
One TikTok user expressed concern over the risk of getting upset stomach after eating the burger.
Another person sarcastically questioned where the owner got such a “brilliant” idea.
One netizen commented food trends seem to be getting weirder these days.
However, another user noted the item was delicious, adding that they tried to make it for themselves at home.
