Japanese Woman Loves S’pore Food So Much She Ate 7 Bowls Of Laksa With Kaya Toast & Chicken Rice

Japanese Woman Live-Streamed Herself Finishing 7 Bowls Of Laksa, Kaya Toast & Chicken Rice

They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, and the saying holds true for this Japanese woman.

On Thursday (5 Sep), petite Japanese YouTuber and competitive eater – Yuka Kinoshita – uploaded a video of her binging on 7 bowls of laksa, chicken rice, and kaya toast.

The food was bought from Tokyo-based restaurant — Singapore Holic Laksa.

The avid eater streamed a ‘mukbang’, otherwise known as a live-streamed eating show,  where she binged on local favourites. Here’s her verdict on Singapore’s cuisine.

Japanese woman eats 7 bowls of laksa

We’re constantly worried about consuming food with too many calories. But that’s not the case for Yuka Kinoshita.

To begin her feast, she proudly showed 1 massive bowl of laksa, which she claims to contain 7 servings of our local hawker fare.

The laksa contained heaps of red soup, shrimps, coriander, thick noodles, and bean sprouts. Surprisingly, she finished the massive bowl in one go.

Appreciating Singaporean chicken rice

Like a true blue local, Yuka thought that the irresistible laksa would match well with chicken rice. She showed a bowl of rice filled with chicken, ginger, and garlic.

We bet the stack of delicious concoctions made her day brighter. While enjoying the hearty meal, she declared that food stayed on the top of her mind even while she watched movies.

She said,

The best scenes in movies for most people is the goodbye scene, but for me it’s food.

We bet the food will be on our minds 24/7 too if we had her metabolism.

It didn’t take long for Yuka to finish the laksa. The once-filled bowl was so empty that there were no traces of soup left.

By now, you’re probably wondering how Yuka maintains a thin figure in spite of her diet and we honestly believe that it’s one of the greatest mysteries in the world.

Thumbs up for our kaya toast too

Most of us would quit eating after 7 bowls of laksa but Yuka’s feast was far from over.

She showed viewers 3 pieces of kaya toast filled with copious amounts of coconut paste or jam.

The eating champion showed no signs of slowing down. She even praised the kaya toast for it’s sweet and fruity flavour, which surpassed the typical peanut butter.

She finished laksa & chicken rice in one go & we’re jealous

A few cups of boba tea is all it takes for us to be conscious about our weight, but Yuka is on a whole other level.

While we’re jelly of her inability to gain weight, we love her heartfelt appreciation for our local cuisine.

We wish we could easily binge on several bowls of laksa, kaya toast, and chicken rice every day. Although we’ll definitely need more money, to support our food budget.
