JJ Lin fans who missed out on tickets for his world tour can now rejoice, as concert organisers have added thousands more tickets to his show dates.
They’ll be available for sale on Wednesday (18 Jul) at 10am, as announced by Unusual Entertainment on Facebook.
500 more tickets per night for his each of his concert dates will be added.
This comes after a sold-out run for 18 & 19 Aug dates, for his Sanctuary World Tour to be played at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Additional tickets will most probably follow the same pricing scheme:
Each person may only purchase up to 4 tickets.
JJ Lin will be bringing his hit tunes to these 15 cities in China, Malaysia and Singapore, including:
The concert’s official website has added a disclaimer of sorts, as a way to address potential ticket scalping practices — directed at people who buy tickets only to resell them.
But that hasn’t been enough to stop netizens from sounding out their displeasure in the comments section about the previous experience.
A netizen found the sudden increase in “extra seats” suspicious, questioning whether they are the tickets that scalpers were selling illegally “on the black market”.
This was addressed by another commentor who theorised that they were seats added to the CAT 1 area instead.
Others simply hoped for a functional ticketing system on the Sports Hub website, so JJ fans wouldn’t be “disappointed once again”.
We think it’s about time to take firm action against illegal ticket scalpers in Singapore — as they continue to run rampant on sites like Carousell.
Possible solutions to this would be to validate ticket purchases by tagging them to a verified IC number.
As well as to ban bulk transactions from a similar IP address, which usually signals errant behaviour by ticket scalping operations.
Most of all, we hope that JJ Lin fans won’t be discouraged as they will soon get another chance to meet their idol in person.
To the lucky ones who’ve gotten their hands on the tickets, doors will open at 6pm on these dates,
While the 2-hour concert officially begins at 7.30pm at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
