The Ministry of Health (MOH) shared on Saturday (30 May) that Junction 8 – a popular heartland mall in Bishan – had 2 locations visited by confirmed Covid-19 patients over the past week.
These are the locations listed within Junction 8 & respective timings:
Yishun also had 2 places listed:
A further 3 visits were logged for the Jurong area:
This is to facilitate contact tracing and to aid the progress of “epidemiological investigations”.
The locations will be updated on a “rolling basis” according to a 14-day incubation period.
On 26 & 27 May, an unstated number of confirmed Covid-19 community cases visited these places at Junction 8.
Both visits were made in the late morning to early afternoon — around off-peak hours to visit the supermarket during the mid-week period.
The public has been advised to offset their visits to avoid peak timings when doing their grocery shopping.
MOH confirms that “close contacts” of all of these confirmed cases have already “been notified”.
As for citizens who’ve visited Jem’s Don Don Donki, Junction 8 or Yishun’s 2 supermarkets at similar dates & timings, they should monitor their health closely for the next 14 days from their date of visit.
The list of public locations currently excludes the following places:
Heartland locations where confirmed Covid-19 patients have visited for 30 min or longer will continue to be announced by MOH on this rolling list.
Visitors of these areas are reminded to see a doctor immediately if you develop any of these respiratory symptoms:
Patients should also inform their doctors of their “exposure history”, said MOH.
We hope that all affected patients will have a swift recovery and that everyone continues to adhere to social distancing cues & mask regulations.
As for those who had visited any of these places recently, do pay close attention to the health & well-being of your loved ones in the next 2 weeks.
